Leadership

Leadership

The Ember Trail Project was built from lived experience — not theory.

What began as a personal commitment to rebuild after seasons of adversity, betrayal, and deep personal growth became something more. The trail became a place to process, to regain strength, and to rediscover clarity.

Movement became medicine.

Over time, it became clear that this experience wasn’t meant to stay personal. It was meant to be shared.

Founder

Jamie Woods

Jamie founded The Ember Trail Project after discovering that healing doesn’t always happen sitting still — sometimes it happens moving forward.

Through hiking challenges and intentional time in the outdoors, strength was rebuilt step by step. What started as survival became resilience. What started as a solo journey became a calling to create space for others walking through their own seasons of rebuilding.

The mission is simple: create an outdoor community where movement supports growth, connection, and purpose.

Lead Trail Coordinator

Jessica

Jessica serves as the Lead Trail Coordinator, ensuring each event is thoughtfully planned, safe, and aligned with the integrity of the project.

She helps oversee logistics, trail selection, and participant experience — making sure every gathering remains intentional, organized, and rooted in stewardship of the land.

Her steady presence helps keep the trail structured and focused.

Trail Wellness Guide

Molly

Molly serves as the Trail Wellness Guide, supporting the emotional tone and energy of each gathering.

While The Ember Trail Project is not therapy, Molly helps ensure events remain grounded, respectful, and welcoming for individuals navigating various seasons of healing.

She brings awareness, compassion, and balance — helping the group move forward together.

Together, this leadership team is committed to:

• Protecting the integrity of the mission
• Keeping events small and meaningful
• Maintaining healthy boundaries
• Supporting both civilian and veteran-focused charities
• Honoring the land that makes this work possible

This is leadership through example.
Through movement.
Through resilience.

Resilience looks good on you!
