Embers on the Greenway Bike Ride
Embers on the Greenway is a small-group cycling experience hosted by The Ember Trail Project, focused on movement, connection, and steady forward progress, on the trail and in life.
This will be the first of two planned Embers on the Greenway rides, designed to be accessible, intentional, and welcoming to riders of varying experience levels.

📍 Start Location: Canawaugus Park
📍 Route: North to Genesee Valley Park and back
🚴🏽♀️Difficulty: Easy-paced, beginner-friendly group ride
📏 Distance: Approximately 18 miles round trip
🗓 Date: Saturday, August 1
⏰ Meet Time: 11:00 AM (Eastern Time)
🌧️Rain Date: Next day, same time (8/2 @11AM)
The route primarily follows the Genesee Valley Greenway Trail, this section consists primarily of crushed stone and a few miles of road riding. A wide range of bikes are welcome!
🚲 Bike & Safety Requirements
Any bike type suitable for crushed stone is welcome
E-bikes are allowed with the following limits:
Pedal assist only
Mode 1 or 2
No throttle-only bikes
*Bike helmets are mandatory for all riders
This is a no-race, no-drop, group ride
This event is intended for adults (18+).

This ride is currently still in the planning phase, and details will be finalized as we get closer
The goal is not speed or performance... it’s steady miles, shared experience, and being present on the trail.
